I want to rub this trailer all over me – Up in the Air

Sure, the trailer doesn’t really give any sort of plot hints, but isn’t it better that way?  What really gets me going about this clip is seeing Vera Farmiga.  It’s about time she did a decent film again.

Missing out on seeing this was one of the hardest parts of sitting TIFF out this year.

I like this….I have no idea what this movie is going to be about but the trailer is quite intriguing!

  3. I find the trailer compelling, and agree that it doesn’t give any major plot points – but that left me pondering what the heck it was about.

Almost no one got into the screenings at TIFF Hatter, if that makes you feel any better!

This trailer gives the movie a kind of Lost in Translation feel – playing light with the plot so it can go heavier with the mood and atmosphere. Not sure if I like this one better than the other full trailer I saw, but the display of clever cinematography combined with hints of a great cast have me all turned around after that weird scene the released where they compare air miles.

I love trailers that give little away. The cinematography looks excellent and hints at a thoughtful, emotional premise.

I like to call her Vera Forlani since I always get her and Claire mixed up. :-) Maybe this will help her stand out more in my mind.
