Interview with Ólöf Arnalds

I’ve had a serious crush on a woman named Ólöf Arnalds for a little over a year now. I first became acquainted with her through an interview on NPR. She’s a musician from Iceland, and I really, really dig her stuff. She’s currently touring to promote her sophomore album titled Innundir Skinni. I badgered her label, One Little Indian Records, to get me a few minutes for an interview when she came to play Salt Lake City, and believe it or not, they said, ‘Sure!’ So I spent a bit of time with the musician last Friday before she opened for the band Blonde Redhead. Bitchin’ Film Reviews doesn’t cover music, so I’ve posted the article on another site that I’m an editor for, called We Got This Covered, since they legitimately cover the music scene. Should you feel inclined, maybe you have a penchant for Icelandic folk music, check out the interview here.

If not, check out her latest music video below.

  3. A little embarrassing, I have never even heard of this Icelandic singer. If it’s all acoustic, I am interested in her other songs ( :

Since you also blog about music elsewhere, I am asking my “readers” this week to name some of their top albums of 2010, maybe you have a couple of aces up your sleeve I might like ? ( :
