Library Loot
I failed miserably at my last ambitious library loot attempt. Seriously. Out of seven films, I saw one. I suppose it makes sense, two of those rented I had already seen. And there was a three day holiday weekend that distracted me, plus a few other extra-curriculars. The only one I managed to watch was Jarmusch’s Stranger Than Paradise. I really didn’t care for it. I know it’s supposed to be hilarious, but I just didn’t get it. There was a funny old Hungarian babushka who stole every scene she was in, but besides her, I was just annoyed by the whole thing. I’m going to have to wait a while before I attempt Ghost Dog or Coffee and Cigarettes. I’m not giving up on you Jarmusch!
It’s not only that I didn’t watch my library loot, I seem to have lost a desire to watch any movies right now. I literally went to two different theatres, two libraries, a Blockbuster and a Hollywood Video without finding a single thing that seemed interesting. So I just ended up renting a bunch of TV on DVD. So, although they’re not movies, here’s my most recent library loot. I think that the release of Moon on Friday will get me out of this funk.

If you aren’t tickled pink by Extras, I can’t be your friend anymore.
Jokes aside, I do hope you dig it – I was gonna make mention of my favorite episode, but it’s actually really hard to pick just one.
Please write a review for these. I would LOVE to hear your thoughts on My So Called Life (b/c I absolutely adored that show when it was on) and I want to know whether Extras and True Blood is worth my time. Happy watching!!
Catching up on lots of tv shows (True Blood, Weeds, Mad Men) has been keeping me from watching any films lately. LOVE True Blood. I think it’s my new obsession.
Mad Hatter – I laughed so hard when I watched the Kate Winslet episode. Which was a little embarrassing since I was watching it on my laptop at work.
Jen – I’m only three episodes in, but I’m really enjoying My So Called Life. I’ll let you know what I think of the whole series.
Rachel – I could never get into Weeds, but Mad Man and True Blood are fantastic. I can’t wait for season 2.
Love that you are enjoying True Blood. It’s a world of awesome.
Every once in a while I need to do a TV binge just for the sake of not feeling like I should be writing about what I’m watching so I totally get it.
Can’t wait to hear what you think of Moon. Dang, I still need to review that…
