My DVD Collection

Ivy at Do You Have a Flag? started this bitchin’ trend just a few short days ago.  If you haven’t done so, you should take pictures of your DVD collection, no matter how embarrassing it is.

Here are some things you should note about my collection:

  • Yes, I do have two copies of Bjork’s Greatest Hits music videos.
  • Lots of the titles are in foreign languages because I buy them when traveling to other countries.
  • Yes, I do have an unopened collector’s edition of Monty Python and the Holy Grail, does anyone want it?
  • Yes, I own Bandidas because when you’re living in Tajikistan for three months and there’s nothing to do and the only stuff the only DVD store in the city has in English is three seasons of Nip/Tuck and Bandidas, you buy them (countries with bad taste can actually explain a lot of my collection).

Here it is, click to enlarge:

I too have all five seasons of Six Feet Under, but they’re on loan to someone right now and thus not in my photos.

But seeing ’em in yours reminded me of somethin’

Who was the brightwit at HBO who pack season one into that taller box, then switch to the normal sized boxes for seasons 2-5?? Such inconsistency bugs the crap out of me.

    Agreed. That is complete douchebaggery.

I KNOW! I hate that about the set, cause they always look weird next to each other? Whoever it was is a dick face.

I remember you mentioned the sherry baby incident… but seriously, nice collection. bitchin’ even!

  4. Wow, awesome collection there. I have to say out of all the ones I’ve seen you have the most I don’t recognize – which is a compliment. Awesome!

@Ivy, thanks! Yeah… Sherry Baby is one I really regret buying, I’ll never watch it again. But that Maggie Gyllenhaal could get me to follow her to the ends of the earth.

@Shannon, thanks! That means a lot coming from one of the most well versed film fanatics I know.

The Forgotten does NOT have a foreign-language along it’s side. Please explain. 😉

Fletch! I swear, had I not been in a jam, I wouldn’t have bought it. But here’s proof it’s Russian. Some of the nicer DVDs have one language on one side of the jacket cover, and English on the other.
