New Harry Potter Trailer…does anyone care?

New ‘Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince’ Trailer!

A brand spanking new international trailer for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince has hit the internets, and since the voiceover uses the words “This year …”, one assumes this is an older trailer or one that wasn’t meant to arrive until some point in 2009. Nevertheless, there’s some new footage here — some darkness, some romance, some running, some magic and a whole lotta fire. You’ll remember how Half-Blood Prince was supposed to come out in just a couple of weeks from now, until Warner Bros. decided to pull a fast one and push the film’s release date all the way back to July 17, 2009. With Potter and his cronies out of the way, the teen vamp flick Twilight moved up and has been trying to swipe whatever Potter thunder was left lingering. While Twilight may now own November, this new Potter trailer proves the boy wizard ain’t exactly ready to give up his top spot on the teen fantasy totem pole just yet.

Check it out and let us know what you think.

Personal note from BFR – I know about half the world will end up see this flick, but is any one really excited about it? I saw the last Harry Potter movie, but it’s just not one of those movies I look forward to. Maybe I’m just too pretentious to see this series as mattering much. Does this trailer do anything for you?

I loved it. I’m really pissed they moved it to next summer. And there’s enough unexplained things in the trailer that I’m intrigued.

The trailer didn’t create much effect on me since I’m not an enthusiast of fantasy movie. However, since I haven’t check what movies will come out this summer, one thing is sure: I’ll just rent this Harry Potter on DVD out of curiosity.

Oh man, we saw HP5 together! I thought you said you liked it! Did you lie to me? In other news, nice site!

PS Just came back from NY – where Daniel Radcliffe was running around the stage naked. I’m scarred.
