I get a big FAIL on Library Loot this week. I only managed to watch three out of the seven films I chose. Of course, I did manage to watch others. But those picks were influenced almost exclusively by the crowd I was watching them with. They were: Julie & Julia, The Squid and the Whale, Shopgirl, and Ratatouille. I barely finished this week’s loot, and it was only by the skin of my teeth. This weekend was full of parties, hit-and-run accidents (I was the victim), police reports, Christmas tree hunting, and the likes. Which didn’t leave very much time for movies. Last weeks loot has to be the best batch of movies I’ve ever brought home from the library. They were all great. Although, I didn’t quite get to The Apartment. There wasn’t a loser in the bunch. I knew I was overly ambitious when I checked out seven dense films. Alright, Black Christmas isn’t really dense, but the others were definitely challenging to watch.
